We partnered with Central Oregon LandWatch to produce a series of eight documentary-style videos featuring individuals connected to Skyline Forest outside of Bend, Oregon. The campaign has currently amassed more than 526K views and 690K impressions and led to 150 new signups for the Save Skyline Forest Campaign.

Serena Bishop Gordon

We interviewed Serena Bishop Gordon, a professional gravel mountain biker and founder of Special Blend Gravel, to hear her thoughts on the future of Skyline and its copious biking trails. Her episode has been widely successful, garnering over 45K views and rallying the mountain biking community around Skyline Forest.

With Corey Heath and Sally Compton

With mule deer being a key species in Skyline Forest, our team produced an episode dedicated to sharing voices from the wildlife community, including Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Watershed Manager Corey Heath and ThinkWild Executive Director Sally Compton. The video has connected with the wildlife community and garnered over 15K views.

The Students For Skyline episode brought youth voices from Cascade Academy to the Skyline Forest campaign. Through these middle school students, we learned about youth-led efforts to protect the natural landscapes of Central Oregon. The video has struck a chord with the community and amassed nearly 10K views.

Vámonos Outside

In this episode of the series, we worked with Vámonos Outside to interview their members on Skyline Forest and highlight their efforts to provide an inclusive space for underrepresented communities to recreate outdoors. During the shoot, we spent time with them on location at one of their mountain biking meetups, capturing action shots of their team flying through the forests of Central Oregon.  The video has amassed 50K+ views.

John Kish aka Fertile Liza

In this episode of the series, we worked with John Kish, the owner of Somewhere That’s Green Indoor Plant Shoppe and The Greenhouse Cabaret. Through this interview, we highlighted John’s work in the local community, his efforts to provide more inclusive spaces for Bend residents, and his connection to the outdoors through the immaculate Fertile Liza. The video has amassed over 30K views and has been one of the crowd favorites of the campaign.

GANAS Edúcate

In the most recent episode of the series, we worked with Central Oregon Community College and the GANAS program to interview several Latinx students who were working on projects about Skyline Forest and artistic expression. Through this episode, we highlighted the efforts of these young scholars, the connection between climate change and Latin American art, and the need to conserve local ecosystems such as Skyline Forest. The video has received 10K views across various platforms.
